The works of Jacques Gorde, situated among the neo-figurative or "nouvelle-figuration", tends to, conspicuously with the years, lean toward the abstract.

Gorde refines his art; his colors evolve within and around his movement, and the large circular motion which characterizes it, maintains its amplitude. His works is of his being; physical and of pure inspiration.

He projects his rebellions onto canvas, cardboard and paper, and leads us to the discovery of his intellectual and emotional relationship with the world.

In the course of his exhibits, the various themes achieved by Gorde may differ but all remain rooted in a characteristic expression of movement, color and light.
